Hi friends. Firstly, I'd like to say I hope ya'll had a wonderful Christmas! And thank you for all the lovely wishes as well. Secondly, I'd like to say IT'S MY 1-YEAR GOTCHA DAY/BIRTHDAY TODAY!!!!!! Isn't this exciting??!!!
Now this is a continuation post from My Story: Part I. If you hasn't readed it yet, you should!
Here are a few highlights of the story:
- They were looking for a dog since early December
- Saw a dog named Dasher
- Was visiting Dasher
- Saw me
- Wanted to reserve me
- Was told I already had someone coming to adopt me.
The next day, December 24, 2011.
The humans sat down at a desk to do the paperworks to adopt me. Their fingers were crossed, they hoped the person in front of them would change their mind.
Just as they were finishing, a woman came in, she had an angry look on her face. She said a few words (which will not be appropriate for this post, but you get what I mean...) and sat down. Talking to the other volunteers, she said that some people are so irresponsible and stupid. Earlier, she had seen a man poking a shelter dog with his umbrella, YES, UMBRELLA, through the gate. Then she saw the humans and said, "GOOD NEWS! The person who reserved Cotton has cancelled!" Apparently, it was a lady and her daughter in front of them. Supposedly, they were in line for Dasher too but didn't get him, so they signed up for me instead. And you know why they cancelled?? It was because the daughter said she didn't feel a BOND with me, I mean... seriously?! She expects me to be all friendly with her when I was locked up in a small cage with humans going in and out and staring at me through bars? My humans, however were overjoyed to hear this! They immediately finished the paperworks. They then said they would come back for me on the 27th.
Nows, don't feel bads that I didn't have a family on Christmas day. The reason they did this was because on the 25th, they had a whole bunch of guests coming over and they didn't want to stress me out.
The day finally came. 27th, I was brought out of the cage and clipped onto my leash. They piled me into a weird car and wrapped me in a blanket. I sat on my mom's lap and stared at the new, smiling, faces. Finally, they stopped driving. They had brought me to a strange building, little did I know, this was where they STOLE YOUR FURS!
This is how I looked afterwards:
I've grown so much handsomer, yes?
Keep in mind they had to shave me cuz I had ticks and my fur was super tangled, the results of not being groomed for 5 years...
Slowly, I got used to these people.
This is a liddul something my humans put together 6 months later.
Super furry
Groomed.
You know what? Sometimes they do silly things, but I don't mind, if it makes them smile :)
This Christmas, all I asked Santa for was for more animals to get furever homes, just like how I did!

Cotton we know you have landed on all four paws. We too hope others have such a happy ending too. Have a terrific Thursday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
